Health & Safety
Steadfast Roofing Limited continues to develop its BSI Management Systems. In May 2007 the company achieved BSI award for Occupational Health and Safety Management OHSAS 18001:1999, making Steadfast Roofing Limited one of the first British Roofing Companies to achieve two BSI kite marks, one for Quality and one for Health and Safety.
This is a rare achievement in the roof tiling industry: these awards are part of Steadfast Roofing’s programme of professional accreditation and staff training.
Our health and safety aims for the organisation are:

To achieve high standards of health and safety by establishing procedures and working practices, together with a commitment to comply with health and safety regulations, statutory requirements and requirements of method statements, and to ensure that arrangements are effectively implemented by the proper allocation of resources.

To promote a positive health and safety culture with a commitment to continual improvement of health and safety systems which protect the welfare of employees and any others affected by the activities of the organization.
- To ensure that employees receive adequate supervision, instruction, information and training in the safety aspects of their work.
- To make available all necessary safety and protective equipment.
- To ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities under this policy and that consultation between all parties is effective.
The safety risks associated with the company’s activities have been assessed and the results documented. These assessments are subject to ongoing discussion and review in order to test their effectiveness. The detailed arrangements and methods for monitoring, assessing and updating safety performance are contained in supporting documentation.
